Earlier this year, it was revealed on RAW that former American Alpha member Jason Jordan is Kurt Angle's "son." It's not a storyline anyone has really embraced, hence why Jordan is now frequently booed by fans but speculation continues running rampant that the whole thing is leading to a heel turn for Kurt's son and the possible return of the Olympic Gold Medallist to active competition.
During a recent interview, the RAW General Manager revealed that he believes an in-ring return is definitely on the cards but seems to think we'll have Jordan to thank for that taking place.
"I would say I will most likely wrestle. I have not taken a physical yet. I’m basically waiting on the boss. It’s up to Vince McMahon. I would imagine I will. I’d imagine the storyline is going to go somewhere with Jason Jordan, so I’m just being patient and enjoying the general manager job. Hopefully, eventually, I’ll get back to wrestling."
A match between Angle and Jordan would be interesting but not exactly the most exciting way to bring him back to the squared circle! Regardless of what comes next for him, though, Angle made it clear that Vince wants to take his time and is actually testing Angle under the company's Wellness Policy along with everyone else to make sure he can be relied upon and won't let them down.
What do you hope to see from Angle's eventual return as a WWE Superstar? Who, aside from Jordan, would you like to see him clash with? Share your thoughts in the comments section.
