In just over a month's time, the legendary Kurt Angle will be inducted into the WWE's prestigious Hall of Fame. It's something grapple-fans have wanted to see for many years, but they are also very much hoping that the Olympic gold medallist will make his return to the ring after WrestleMania.

While that is reportedly on the cards, a new rumor may give us some indication of what WWE's more immediate plans for Angle are. While appearing on The Taz Show, Mike Johnson of PWInsider told the former ECW champ that he's heard Angle is set to debut on WWE television the day after Mania, and that he will ultimately wind up replacing Mick Foley as Raw's GM.

We do know that Foley is preparing to undergo hip surgery, and his recent run-ins with Stephanie McMahon (not to mention his outbursts at the likes of Braun Strowman and Kevin Owens) definitely point to the Hardcore Legend being removed from the role fairly soon. Plus, it's a great way for WWE to keep Angle on TV without having him wrestle full-time.

Still just a rumor for now, of course, but we'll update if and when we come by any more information.
