WWE has announced that the WWE Network is set to launch in China on Friday, August 18th. That's two days before SummerSlam and is perfect timing for the company as the card for the show is stacked and features more than enough compelling matches (such as Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe vs. Braun Strowman) to convince new subscribers to check the platform out.
PPTV customers can download the PPTV App and watch WWE Network content via smart TVs, set-top boxes, mobile devices and tablets, as well as on www.WWE.cn, www.PPTV.com and www.Sports.PPTV.com. Fans can sign up in time to watch one of WWE’s marquee events of the year, SummerSlam, live in Mandarin, on Monday, August 21st, at 7am. Beijing time.
This is great news for WWE as China is the largest country in the world in terms of population. The company has tried to grow their presence there a number of times and even had Chinese wrestler Tian Bing compete at this year's WrestleMania as he rises up the ranks in NXT.
