Monday's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw (August 31, 2026) was taped in advance on Friday, August 28 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The episode will air at 8 p.m. ET on Netflix.

This post contains spoilers from the taping, including reported match results, storyline developments, promo segments and backstage material.

As with any pre-taped episode, WWE can edit the broadcast or add material that was not performed in front of the live audience.

Here are your spoilers and results for WWE Monday Night Raw - August 31, 2026:

  • Royce Keys, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price wasted little time continuing their attack on The Bloodline, ambushing Jimmy and Jey Uso backstage. Jacob Fatu arrived to chase the trio away, but his anger carried over into the arena when he came through the crowd, climbed onto the commentary desk and declared that Keys and OTM had started a war. Fatu trashed the ringside area and took out officials before eventually leaving.
  • WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship Match: Raquel Rodriguez (c) defeated Sol Ruca to retain the championship. Lyra Valkyria turned Ruca's title opportunity against her by interfering on Rodriguez's behalf. Lyra remained nearby as The Judgment Day celebrated and mockingly said "Oops!" before departing.
  • WWE aired a trailer promoting the upcoming Mr. T documentary.
  • Chad Gable addressed his goals as Intercontinental champion and said he intends for the title to become a defining part of his legacy. Gable also confirmed that he will defend the championship in Mexico City. Dragon Lee joined him and the two exchanged praise until Ethan Page interrupted, accusing Gable of handpicking luchadores instead of facing him. Gable responded that Page had been on his list of prospective challengers somewhere below The Honky Tonk Man, and a match was arranged between Page and Lee to decide who would face Gable.
  • WWE Intercontinental Championship No. 1 Contender's Match: Dragon Lee defeated Ethan Page by pinfall. Page attempted to gain an advantage by removing a turnbuckle pad, but Gable pointed it out to the referee. Lee's victory earned him the Intercontinental Championship match against Gable in Mexico City.
  • Roman Reigns returned to Raw and explained OTC as meaning "One True Champ." Reigns complained that his position comes with a burden and said the rest of WWE has failed to show him the respect he is owed. He specifically insisted that Solo Sikoa and LA Knight would acknowledge him. Knight came out and accused Roman of recycling an act that was already stale three years ago, eventually turning OTC into "one tremendous coward." Attention suddenly shifted backstage, where Solo had been attacked and left bloodied. Jacob Fatu and officials were around Sikoa when Knight went to check on him. Reigns followed and attacked Knight.
  • Another vignette aired promoting Lola Vice's move to Monday Night Raw.
  • Je'Von Evans defeated Dominik Mysterio by disqualification. JD McDonagh attacked Evans at ringside to force the decision, and The Judgment Day continued the two-on-one beating after the bell. Joe Hendry made his return to even the odds, setting up an immediate tag team match.
  • Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh defeated Joe Hendry and Je'Von Evans by pinfall. McDonagh caught Hendry with a headbutt from outside the ring, leaving him vulnerable for Dominik's Frog Splash and the deciding fall.
  • Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer continued their uneasy relationship backstage, going back and forth over Lynch's recent help against The Judgment Day and whether either woman owes the other anything. Vaquer got the final word by telling Becky that she does not deserve the Women's World Championship because the championship deserves Vaquer.
  • Rey Mysterio gave Rey Fenix some words backstage before Fenix stepped into the tournament final against his brother.
  • Paul Heyman told Cathy Kelley that he respects both Oba Femi and Bron Breakker heading into their Sunday Night's Main Event match. Heyman was particularly interested in what becomes of whichever man loses, saying everyone will learn who represents WWE's future in real time.
  • The Judgment Day also appeared together in a separate backstage segment.
  • World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender Tournament Final: Penta defeated Rey Fenix by pinfall. The brothers were given roughly 14 minutes, with Penta finishing Fenix with the Mexican Destroyer to earn the title opportunity. They embraced the moment afterward and raised each other's hands until Roman Reigns made his entrance. The World Heavyweight Champion stepped into the ring, raised his championship in Penta's face and stared down the man who will challenge him in Mexico City.
