Tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown (Friday, August 14, 2026) emanates from TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts and will air starting at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network.

Results, match winners, promo segment notes and other major developments from WWE's blue brand will be added below as Friday Night SmackDown airs.

Preview & Predictions for WWE SmackDown:

On tap for tonight's episode, Baron Corbin defends the United States Championship against Carmelo Hayes; Tiffany Stratton puts the WWE Women's United States Championship on the line against Jacy Jayne; WWE Tag Team Champions R-Truth and Damian Priest defend against War Raiders and the MFTs in a Triple Threat Match; and Paige makes an appearance.

Since the AAA World Tag Team Championship is not also factored into the tag team triple threat, that is very telling that The War Raiders are not winning this. If it were title-for-title, they could win to retain, but their belts are not in jeopardy, so they can lose and it means nothing to them. I do think the MFTs have a good shot at winning the belts here, but with Shinsuke Nakamura and his mystery partner going after them, it depends on what WWE wants to do. Do Talla Tonga and Tama Tonga win here, Wepa Up splits, and Nakamura plus TBD go after the new tag team champions, or does Nakamura spoil the party for the Tongans? I'm thinking more so the former.

Baron Corbin is going to retain the men's United States title over Carmelo Hayes. He just beat Trick Williams in Philadelphia, which is a surrogate home town for Trick in a lot of ways. Melo is from Framingham, which is close enough that they're treating Boston as his hometown, and I think the same will apply.

A title change could happen with the women's United States title, though. I'd imagine Tiffany Stratton drops that belt to either Jacy Jayne or Blake Monroe, so if it doesn't happen tonight, Monroe's got that locked up soon enough.

Here are your results for WWE SmackDown - August 14, 2026:

  • Nick Aldis opened the show prepared to strip Chelsea Green of the Interim WWE Women's Championship because of her broken orbital bone. Green made an emotional case for keeping the title, detailing everything she has endured throughout her career to finally become champion. Aldis ultimately changed course and gave her 30 days to receive medical clearance. Gunther interrupted to complain about Kevin Owens being added to the SummerSlam Fatal 4-Way, only for Aldis to reveal WWE had been negotiating Owens' return for months and that Gunther was actually the late addition. After Gunther and Green traded insults, Matt Cardona came to his wife's defense and attacked The Ring General. Gunther defeated Matt Cardona by submission in the impromptu match that followed. Nia Jax and Lash Legend then confronted the injured Green, prompting Tiffany Stratton to make the save before The Irresistible Forces overwhelmed her as well.
  • Alexa Bliss continued trying to convince Charlotte Flair to give Tatum Paxley a chance. Paxley surprised them by redecorating their locker room with a collage devoted to the trio, which Flair was far less enthusiastic about than Bliss. Later, Jade Cargill and the Baddies promised to give Paxley a "proper welcome" to SmackDown
  • Singles Match for the United States Championship: Baron Corbin (c) defeated Carmelo Hayes by pinfall. Lil Yachty attacked Corbin from behind with the Drip Stick afterward, but Corbin shrugged it off and sent him retreating. The distraction allowed Trick Williams to enter the ring and drop Corbin with the Trick Shot.
  • Chelsea Green checked on Tiffany Stratton backstage and thanked her for coming to her aid, while expressing concern that Stratton had hurt her ribs before her title defense. Stratton insisted she was still competing. Later, Fatal Influence once again became involved at ringside during the championship match, despite Green trying to neutralize them. Singles Match for the WWE Women's United States Championship: Jacy Jayne defeated Tiffany Stratton (c) by pinfall to win the title.
  • Kevin Owens and CM Punk had a lengthy face-to-face confrontation ahead of their Undisputed WWE Championship match in Toronto. Owens revisited their issues dating back roughly 20 years and accused Punk of being a phony who only changed after burning bridges elsewhere, while Punk fired back by accusing Owens of wasting his potential. Despite repeatedly daring each other to fight, Owens decided to wait until their title match next week.
  • Gunther interrupted Nick Aldis during a backstage conversation with Finn Balor and mocked Balor as a shadow of his former self. Balor responded that he was willing to go through Gunther if that is what it takes to earn another championship opportunity and promised to show him who the real Finn Balor is.
  • Triple Threat Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship: The MFTs (Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga) defeated Damian Priest & R-Truth (c) and The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) by pinfall to win the titles. With Haku at ringside, the MFTs put away R-Truth with Brother's Keeper to capture the championship.
  • Earlier in the show, Cody Rhodes asked Nick Aldis for a match against Randy Orton, with Aldis suggesting Sunday Night's Main Event as the setting. Sami Zayn interrupted to complain about the hurdles he has faced trying to earn another championship opportunity, leading Rhodes to challenge him for later in the night. Zayn pointed to his broken hand, but Aldis sweetened the deal by promising him a shot at whoever emerges from CM Punk vs Kevin Owens as Undisputed WWE Champion if he could defeat Rhodes. The main event match never started, as Orton attacked Cody before the bell and the two brawled around ringside and through the crowd to close the show.
