This week's episode of AEW Dynamite got underway with Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Lance Archer making their way to the ring to offer "an apology" for their heinous actions against Brandi Rhodes on last Wednesday's installment.

Of course, Jake used the opportunity to further insult the Chief Branding Officer of AEW with some sexist remarks, and it wasn't long before Cody put in an appearance.

The American Nightmare made a beeline right for Archer, and actually got the better of him after well-placed kick south of the equator. The Murderhawk Monster soon recovered, however, and both men traded stiff shots until Codey managed to escape a Blackout attempt, and Roberts urged his client to retreat.

This was a great way to build hype for Archer and Cody's TNT Championship match at Double or Nothing on May 23, and they are sure to have a terrific showing.
