It looks like CM Punk's return to All Elite Wrestling is one step closer to being confirmed... maybe!
Unfortunately, we still don't have official word on this, but Fightful.com has heard that "tentative plans" are in place for the "Best in the World" to make his long-awaited return in Chicago for the Dynamite/Rampage go-home shows before Forbidden Door.
Apparently, the "working plan" has been for Punk to return at that 6/21 show, and we may also know who he'll be working with!
Despite Punk reportedly making it known that he'd be happy to feud with The Elite, we're hearing Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks aren't quite as keen to bury the hatchet. So, it seems a meeting between Punk and Chris Jericho took place to see if they could work something out and possibly develop a feud.
Punk and Jericho aren't exactly bosom buddies, either, but the leader of the JAS has always put business first, so we're not surprised that he's willing to let bygones be bygones and make some money with the man who is - inarguably - the biggest drew AEW has ever had.
Nothing is set in stone, but we really hope this pans out. Stay tuned for updates.
