A new match has been confirmed for Bloodsport London!
Brett Semtex vs. Anthony Ogogo has been made official for the special show this Sunday.Â
This is Anthony Ogogoâs first Bloodsport show. The 36-year-old is notable for his match against Cody Rhodes at 2021âs Double or Nothing. Ogogo is still contracted with AEW, but he spends most of his time working the indies such as 1 Fall Wrestling, Revolution Pro Wrestling, and Progress Wrestling.Â
Before stepping into the world of wrestling, Ogogo was a professional boxer and he had quite the undefeated streak for three years. That streak led to an WBC international middleweight title fight in 2016 against Craig Cunningham. He lost the bout despite his valiant effort. Unfortunately, Ogogo was forced to retire after being registered as blind in 2017. He ended his boxing career with a strong record of 11 wins and 1 loss.
His opponent, Brett Semtex, is a relative newcomer to wrestling as well as he began his training in 2021. Semtex is known for his time in the World Association of Wrestling, though heâs also competed in Kumite Combat Wrestling and Revolution Pro Wrestling. This is also Brettâs first time working in Bloodsport. Despite being a relative newcomer into the business, Brett has won a couple of world titles including the RISE Championship and the WAW British Heavyweight Championship.
For those who donât follow the unique format, Bloodsport started in 2018 under Matt Riddleâs name. Once Riddle signed to WWE, the event was turned over to former UFC fighter Josh Barnett. The rules are quite simple: every match will end either by knockout or submission. Instead of the traditional pro wrestling ring, the canvas has no ropes or turnbuckles.Â
At the moment, thereâs only five matches confirmed for the Game Changer Wrestling show. Itâs not confirmed yet as if there'll be more names added to the card.
Bloodsport London features recognizable indie names such as Chris Ridgeway, Lou Nixon, and Mark Trew. Check out the advertised line-up for the upcoming show.Â
