Killer Kross finally has his first opponent.
Last week, it was confirmed that the former NXT Champion would be making his return to Major League Wrestling. This week, it’s been confirmed that the former WWE star is set to face another former WWE star - Matt Riddle.
Riddle has gone through an interesting transformation in the last several months. Riddle lost his MLW World Heavyweight Championship to Mads “Krule” Krugger at MLW’s Fightland show.
The following month, Riddle turned heel at MLW’s Slaughterhouse. Riddle fought Alex Hammerstone in a one-on-one match and took advantage of the referee being out by hitting Hammerstone with a low blow that got him the three count. Following his match, Riddle trashed the fans in typical heelish fashion and is now presenting himself as the “Rude Dude” of MLW.
This isn’t the first time that Riddle and Kross have faced each other, though it’s been a while since the former WWE stars have collided one-on-one. This is officially Kross’ first match back since being confirmed for the special MLW x Don Gato Tequila: Live on Thursday, November 20 at the Charleston Music Hall Thunder Studios Arena in Charleston, SC.
Kross previously fought in MLW back in 2020 and 2022; he’s yet to lost a match via pinfall or submission. The only match he lost was the Battle Riot IV Special. Kross has been working non-stop since his release in September and that doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon.
Thus far, this is the only match confirmed for the MLW special. In addition to Kross, former WWE Tag Team Champions Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are also being advertised for the upcoming show. The Good Brothers first teased a return to MLW back at Battle Riot VII. This will be the first time that Gallows and Anderson step into an MLW ring.
WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson is also being advertised for the upcoming show. Unlike Kross, Scarlett, and The Good Brothers, Anderson will not compete as he hasn’t had a match since 2000, but Arn does have some ties in Major League Wrestling, which is his son Brock Anderson. The second star seems to be on the verge of receiving an MLW World title show based on the promo he did during the company's recent tapings.
