The finals are officially confirmed.
Both Mistico and Volador Jr. punched their ticket to the finals when each man won their respective semi-finals match. While one man chose the route of cheating and deception, and the other came into this match-up with honor and integrity.
This tournament started out with 16 men vying for the opportunity to be the 2025 Opera Cup winner. The annual tournament comes with great success within Major League Wrestling, and newcomers Mistico and Volador Jr. are hoping that a win here will launch them into world title status.
Volador Jr. has used heelish tactics to get the better of his opponents, but the CMLL star has been wrestling for 28 years, so experience is a strong reason that he’s been able to make it so far as well.
Mistico is a professional as well and despite the short cuts some of his opponents have taken, the CMLL star has managed to come out of each match a big winner. This isn’t the first time that Mistico and Volador Jr have crossed paths. These two have had several incredible matches down in CMLL and Volador has the edge over Mistico. However, will he be able to beat the popular Lucha star on the upcoming MLW x Don Gato special?
We’ll find out on November 20th! This Opera Cup match joins a battle between former WWE superstars as Killer Kross makes his official return to MLW by taking on the “rude dude” Matt Riddle. This is a huge singles match between former world champion who are trying to climb the rankings of the world title division in order to get a crack at Mads “Krule” Krugger’s MLW World Heavyweight Championship.
