There’s a huge world title match next week!
Bandido has been wrestling around the world for the past couple of weeks, but the ROH World Champion comes home as he’ll defend his belt against Mascara Dorada on the October 30th episode of Ring of Honor.
This is the first title match between these two as Bandido defended it against him at the joint CMLL Vs. AEW/ROH back in June. After a hard hitting match that went about 20 minutes, the ROH World Champion secured his second title win via pinfall.
Though Dorada is only 23-years-old, the CMLL star has been making noise since he made his professional debut in 2021. Dorada made his name known in CMLL and he’s holding the CMLL World Trios Championships with Mistico and Neon. Dorada is also a World Historic Welterweight Champion; he beat Rocky Romero for the title at Viernes Espectacular and Dorade has managed to keep the belt for 679 days.
His standout moment in AEW was that the AEW Unified Triple Threat match between him, Kazuchika Okada, and Konosuke Takeshita. Though Okada emerged victorious, Dorada impressed plenty of people with his amazing athleticism in a bout that features two of the best wrestlers in the world.
This is Bandido’s sixth title defense. Though the 30-year-old is coming off a big loss to Okada on Dynamite this past Wednesday, Bandido remains undefeated in singles matches under the ROH brand. At least in 2025. The last time Bandido lost a match in ROH was back in 2022 against Johnathan Gresham at Supercard of Honor. Bandido has successfully defended his title against Dralistico, Konosuke Takeshita, Adam Priest, and Hecichero. He’s held the belt for more than 200 days so far.
With Bandido pulling double duty by working ROH and AEW, he managed to suffer a shoulder injury that impacted him and Brody King in an eliminator match a couple of weeks ago. Will Bandido suffer the same fate next week, but with the ROH World Championship? We’ll find out!
