Bear Bronson gets his shot at a world title on October 10th.
The former AEW star will be making his House of Glory debut against the HOG Crown Jewel Champion, Zilla Fatu. The third generation star is fresh into his second run as champion after beating Bully Ray for the title at HOG Philadelphia. Zilla previously held the belt for 371 days, beating top level names such as Matt Riddle, Donovan Dijak, and Real1. This is Zilla’s second title defense.
Since leaving ROH/AEW in 2024, Bronson has been working extremely hard on the independent circuit trying to make a name for himself as a singles star. He’s wrestled in Game Changer Wrestling, Focus Pro Wrestling, and Beyond Wrestling; Bronson has won multiple titles in his career such as the WrestlePro Silver Champion, CW New England Champion, and CAP Champion.
Bronson has detailed his miserable experience in AEW in the past and why his time on the independent scene these days is so important.
“I’m not going to say I ever fell out of love with wrestling,” Bronson admitted on the Wrestling Junkies podcast, “but I do believe I hit a point in AEW where I felt complacent, just with the role that we were given. And when you’re surrounded by a lot of people that pressure you to just be grateful, be grateful you’re getting used for that minute and 30 seconds, you kind of put yourself in this mode of forcing yourself to be happy with what you’re doing when I’m looking at my best friends on top of the world becoming world champions and even my peers in the locker room chasing the things they want. But I have a lot of people looking down on me saying, ‘Just be happy you’re used,’ that kind of gets to you over time.”
HOG’s With Glory Comes Pride will take place in Queens, NY at the NYC Arena. The upcoming show will also feature the return of Killer Kross. The former NXT Champion will take on Matt Cardona. This comes after Kross interfered during Cardona’s match against Shotzi Blackheart. Him and his wife put down the former WWE star and Cardona is coming out for revenge.
But that isn’t the only former WWE star competing at With Pride Comes Glory.
The Hardys will face The Mane Event (Ringleader Midas Black and Jay Lyon) for the HOG Tag Team Championships. With Pride Comes Glory is building into a stacked card. Tickets are available now at HOGWrestling.net. The event will also stream live worldwide on TrillerTV+.
