The Opera Cup continues with another Quarter Final match.
This time, Bishop Dyer will face Satoshi Kojima. The former WWE star battled Anthony Greene in the opening round and his size was a huge advantage that allowed him to get the victory.
However, there’s a reason that Kojima is the only two-time MLW World Heavyweight Champion as he’s no stranger to fighting big guys like Bishop Dyer. His first round opponent may have not been as big as the MLW star, but Kojima has fought some notable giants during his time in New Japan Pro Wrestling and All Japan Pro Wrestling.
The MLW World Tag Team Champion has 15 years of experience. Of course, Dyer’s most notable time was in WWE where he won the United States Championship and was the 2017 Money in the Bank winner. But on the flip side, Dyer’s experience was triumphed over by his opponent since Kojima has been wrestling for 34 years.
His experience outweighs Dyer’s and his world title wins across several different promotions that highlights just how good of a performer that he really is. Though Dyer has yet to win a world title in his career, the former WWE star has been tearing the house down since his WWE exit and it’s only a matter of time before he finally gets his hands on a world title.
Who will emerge victorious in the Quarter Final round of the 2025 Opera Cup? We’ll find out on Saturday, October 4th! That card is really shaping up to be something special with Mad Krugger set to defend the MLW World Heavyweight title in the main event. In the other Quarter finals match, Mistico and Ultimo Guerrero will fight to advance to the semi-finals.
