The former WWE World Tag Team Champions are competing at Bloodsport!
The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) are confirmed for the upcoming show on August 2nd! This will be Erik & Ivar’s very first Bloodsport event as the duo was still in WWE when the show was first created in 2018. Still, The War Raiders have vast experience on the independent scene. Erik & Ivar wrestled on the indies for over ten years as the duo notably competed in Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and Defiant Wrestling before jumping ship to WWE in 2018.
The previous show held in Las Vegas during the week of WrestleMania featured numerous WWE talents as Pete Dunne, Karrion Kross, Karmen Petrovic, Shayna Baszler, and Natalya Neidhart competed at the event. Former WWE names such as Jon Moxley (WWE’s Dean Ambrose), Simon Gotch, and Matt Riddle have been at these shows in the past. Some of those names will be competing on the upcoming show Saturday.
Bloodsport started in 2018 under Matt Riddle’s name. Once Riddle signed to WWE, the event was turned over to former UFC fighter Josh Barnett. The rules are quite simple: every match will end either by knockout or submission. Instead of the traditional pro wrestling ring, the canvas has no ropes or turnbuckles.
At the moment, a match hasn’t been confirmed for The War Raiders, though it shouldn’t be long before it is announced since the show is on Saturday. It appears that the duo will be competing as a tag team, which is a rarity for Bloodsport. It should be exciting to see how The War Raiders work under a different promotion, especially with the MMA inspired rules of Bloodsport.
Thus far, only three matches have been confirmed for the recent Bloodsport show:

- Jordan Blade vs. Janai Kai
- Pete Dunne vs. Jonathan Gresham
Though given that there’s less than a week before the show, it shouldn’t be long before the matches are finalized. There's no word on who Erik and Ivar could be facing on Saturday.
