This weekend, Chris Jericho made a shocking surprise appearance outside of WWE to promote his upcoming match with Kenny Omega. After he managed to score a victory for "The Elite" in a six-man tag team match, the lights in the Fukuoka Convention Center went out and a video package played featuring Y2J issuing a warning about the match between the two of them in Tokyo next month.
As soon as the lights came on, Jericho was there in the flesh and he proceeded to viciously attack Omega, smashing him across the head with his opponent's IWGP US Heavyweight Championship.
Jericho proceeded to wipe Omega's blood on his own face and after Don Kallis, NJPW's English announcer, received a Codebreaker in return for trying to stop Jericho from continuing his attack. Y2J left once The Young Bucks hit the ring and it's now clear he's going to be the heel in this match. We'll get to see that take place at Wrestle Kingdom 12 on January 4th in Tokyo so stay tuned for more.
