Konosuke Takeshita is coming home to DDT Pro Wrestling.

Before Takeshita blew up in AEW and New Japan Pro-Wrestling, the 30-year-old was a mainstay in DDT Pro-Wrestling for five years. The last time he competed in the promotion was in May. However, that’s going to change on November 6th.

DDT Pro-Wrestling has confirmed that the newly crowned IWGP World Heavyweight Champion will compete on November 6th, 8th, and 9th. Thus far, his opponents have yet to be confirmed.

Takeshita has been moving up recently. On October 13th, he shocked the masses by beating Zack Sabre Jr. for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. This comes off the back of winning the G1 Climax, which allowed him to challenge for the prestigious belt at King of Pro-Wrestling. Takeshita could be on the verge of winning another title as well.

Him and Kazuchika Okada are scheduled to challenge Brodido (Brody King & Bandido) for the AEW World Tag Team titles at WrestleDream Saturday. They earned the title match by beating the tag team champions several weeks ago in an eliminator match. There doesn’t seem to be any titles on the line for Takeshita’s return to DDT, but the guy has arguably been the MVP of the past year due to his busy work schedule and the incredible performances he puts on day in and day out. It should be no different when he makes his DDT Pro Wrestling return.

If you’re wondering how Takeshita has time for New Japan, AEW, and DDT, the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion cleared that up during a press conference earlier this week and stated that he had a contract with all three companies.

“I’m triple contracted, but not exclusive. We can move things around and I can be on any tour I’m called for.”

Takeshita’s next stop is WrestleDream. While he’s likely to make more AEW appearances following the pay-per-view, as of now, he’s just being advertised for Hiroshi Tanahashi’s Final Homecoming on November 2nd. Takeshita is scheduled to have his first IWGP World Heavyweight title defense against Hirooki Goto. We’ll keep you updated with the situation when Takeshita’s opponents for each day are revealed.
