Dominik Mysterio will have his first title defense on Saturday, October 25th.
Dom Dom has been busy defending the Intercontinental title on RAW these days, but he has a different problem to worry about on Saturday. For the first time since he won the AAA Mega Championship, Dominik Mysterio is scheduled to go one on one against a familiar foe - Dragon Lee.
Lee has been a thorn at Dominik’s side for the past couple of weeks. The RAW star beat Judgment Day a couple of weeks alongside AJ Styles and Penta. Dragon Lee won his first WWE title on Monday as him and AJ Styles successfully beat Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.
The 30-year-old has got Dominik’s number these days, though the AAA Mega Champion does come in with the advantage because Dominik beat Dragon Lee in a singles match back in August. Though Lee has yet to win any singles belts in WWE on the main roster, the RAW star is quite the accomplished wrestler as he’s previously won the CMLL World Welterweight and Lightweight Championships, ROH World Television Championship, and the North American Championship.
The AAA Mega Championship match headlines a stacked card that also has another notable WWE wrestler in a title match.
That wrestler is Natalya, who’s getting another opportunity to challenge for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship. This is the former WWE Women’s Champion’s second shot at the Reina de Reinas title. In fact, Natalya fought in this very match against Flammer and Faby Apache back at TripleMania XXXIII. Flammer has been the champion for 803 days, successfully defending her belt against big names such as Lady Shani, Jessica Troy, and Dalys. The veteran has competed inside the squared circle for 16 years and the 26-year-old isn’t slowing down any time soon.
