Can Dom Dom become a double champ?
Tonight, Dominik Mysterio will get a second chance at winning the AAA Mega Championship. The Intercontinental Champion got the opportunity last month, but AJ Styles made sure that the mullet warrior didn’t walk out as champion. But Dominik is officially done with AJ Styles. However, Dominik won’t be coming alone as he’ll have his Judgment Day buddies by his side.
But beating El Hijo del Vikingo won’t be an easy feat.
This will be El Hijo del Vikingo’s fourth title defense. He beat Alberto El Patron (aka Alberto Del Rio) at AAA Alianzas, something that fans clearly aren’t happy with based on the negative reaction he received on Saturday. Nevertheless, he successfully defended against Chad Gable at the first World’s Collide show and beat Patron again in a Steel Cage match.
But this is Vikingo’s second title run. His first reign went for 833 days. Dominik has an uphill battle to climb. Can Dominik become the first wwe star to hold the intercontinental and AAA Mega Championships at the same time?
The New Day has a chance to reclaim tag belts. This time, it’s the AAA Tag Team titles as Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston will challenge Pagano and Psycho Clown for the prestigious titles. Kofi has won the WWE Tag Team titles seven times. Xavier has won them five. These two have high experience when it comes to the tag team titles. But they’ve been down on their luck recently since dropping the belts to The Judgment Day. That doesn’t mean Pagano and Psycho Clown have no chance at beating the New Day. The AAA Tag Team Champs are warriors and they’ll do everything in their power to retain those titles.
For the AAA Latin American Championship, WWE’s Dragon Lee, Ethan Page, and JD McDonagh all have a shot at taking El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.’s title. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. only had the belt for 27 days thus far. However, the veteran has won nine championships throughout his career, with the GHC Heavyweight title being the most notable. This is a dangerous match as the champion can lose the title without being pinned. Will El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. have an extremely short title run?
