The Bunny is back!

The former Impact Knockouts Champion has officially made her professional wrestling return. This past weekend, Penelope Ford competed on the Mystery Wrestling 18 show and fans were eagerly waiting for her mystery tag team partner. That partner turned out to Allie (aka The Bunny).

To recall, Ford was the same woman who teamed with The Bunny in that memorable Street Fight they had against Anna Jay & Tay Conti on Rampage in 2021. This was Allie’s first match since September 2023.

The 38-year-old has been recently documenting her return to professional wrestling. On August 30, 2025, she released her first video on Instagram of her training. Allie then went into more depth about her experience coming back and how much she missed wrestling.

“I haven’t had an actual wrestling match in, shit, I think it might be two years. So many things have changed in my life, and something in me just felt like I wanted to get back in the ring and see how it feels,” she said in an Instagram video. “Not only did I not have a match, but like, I hadn’t trained, I hadn’t bumped, I hadn’t been in wrestling at all for quite a long time, maybe the last couple months, I started feeling like I really missed it in a way that I honestly didn’t expect.

“This year has been really hard. Sometimes, when you’re in a dark place, it’s hard to step outside of yourself and see that there are still good things in the world and there are good things for you to experience as well. I didn’t realize how much wrestling brought me joy until I hit rock bottom, and wrestling was like a little bit of a light in the storm.”

It’s not clear what’s next for Allie. The former Impact Knockouts Champion never states if she plans to try and go back to the major companies. This return could be a temporary thing for the former AEW star, though given how much fun she seems to be having then it would be shocking if this wasn’t a long term thing.
