At the ROH 16th Anniversary PPV, Austin Aries made a surprise appearance during the live PPV from Las Vegas confronting then ROH TV Champion Kenny King.

Aries challenged King to a future match for the ROH TV title due to the fact that “The Greatest Man Ever Lived” has never won the ROH TV title during his time in Ring of Honor.

Then Kenny King lost the title at Supercard of Honor in a Last Man Standing match.

ROH has announced that Austin Aries will challenge Silas Young for the ROH World TV Title at ROH War of the Worlds next Sunday, May 13th in Chicago. They also announced Cody vs. Jushin Thunder Liger for ROH War of the Worlds on Friday, May 11th in Toronto.
