It seems like Kenny Omega won’t be leaving the independent scene anytime soon as he signed a new one-year contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling this past Tuesday, according to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The Bullet Club Leader’s contract was set to expire on January 31st, so he is now with the promotion until January 31, 2019. Omega has stated in the past that he was happy with being in New Japan and planned on resigning.

Also, unlike last year where there was concern that The Cleaner would be leaving for the WWE, it was expected backstage that Omega would remain with the company.
