Bandido is the new ROH World Champion.
After months of battling Chris Jericho, Bandido became a two-time Champion at Dynasty this past Sunday. However, the story of Bandido and the ROH World Championship is just the beginning. The hard part is for Bandido to keep the belt since he’s on a roster full of talented performers who can take that title away at any moment.
Take Jay Lethal. He’s one of the longest reigning ROH World Champions in the company’s history. A two-time champion who held the belt at 427 days at one point, the ROH veteran is looking to get back into the main event mix and he has a chance to do so tonight. Bandido and Jay Lethal will fight in a proving ground match and if the latter can beat Bandido then he’ll earn the opportunity to challenge him for the ROH World Championship.
The ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions are back together for the first time since September 2024. Dustin Rhodes, Marshall Von Erich, and Ross Von Erich come in this match a bit rusty since they haven’t tagged together in over five months. Rhodes has been doing his thing with Sammy Guevara, but now that the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions are back, did can they reignite their chemistry and overcome their special bond that got them the championships in the first place?
Tomohiro Ishii returns and the former NEVER Openweight Champion has some unfinished business with Preston Vance. Can Ishii rebound after his loss on Collision this past Saturday?
