Before Wrestle Kingdom 12 on January 4, 2018, New japan Pro-Wrestling will host the pay-per-view event Power Struggle this Sunday, November 5th.
The card looks stacked on paper, with matches such as Intercontinental Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi set to defend his title against Kota Ibushi (who was in the cruiserweight classic) in the main event. New IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay will meet bullet club member Marty Scrull, and before their match at Wrestle Kingdom 12, Kazuchika Okada, Hiroki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI, Tomohiro Ishii, and Gedo will take on title challenger Tetsuya Naito, Evil, Sanada, Hiromu Takahashi, and Bushi in a ten man tag team match.
In addition, Bullet Club leader and IWGP United States Champion Kenny Omega will defend his title against Trent Berretta, which was announced earlier today.
Beretta wrestled briefly in the WWE under the same name, but since his release has been busy on the Independent circuit working for mostly New Japan Wrestling and Ring of Honor. Berretta is a former IWGP Tag Team Champion and is set to meet the Bullet Club leader in a one on one match for the first time in his career.
This is a big match for Berretta as he's still new in the heavyweight division and while he's had classic matches with likes of the Young Bucks, having a strong match with Kenny Omega will surely boost his stock.
