February 8th is a big night for Major League Wrestling.
The indie promotion is in the midst of their Kings of Colosseum tapings that saw Matt Riddle beat Satoshi Kojima for the MLW World Heavyweight Championship. It’s already been confirmed that the King of Bros is scheduled to defend his title in a triple threat match against Kojima and Alex Kane, but several other former WWE stars will be competing on MLW’s next show.
For the first time ever, KENTA will take on up-and-comer Kevin Knight. The former WWE star is coming off a big loss at Kings of Colosseum as Donovan Dijak dominated their last match. But this first ever match isn’t about revenge. KENTA is hoping to rebound from his crippling defeat and get back into the title rankings within the MLW title picture.
Knight doesn’t exactly have the best track record in MLW. In fact, the 28-year-old has yet to win a singles match in the promotion. Knight is still new to MLW as he came into the company in 2024 and has impressed during his matches against Bobby Fish and Donovan Dijak. The rising star just needs one win to help propel him up the card, and beating a former world champion will surely do the trick.
But speaking of Donovan Dijak, the former WWE star has been thriving since his return to MLW in 2024. Dijak is scheduled for a grudge match on February 8; That match comes against former MLW World Heavyweight Champion Tom Lawlor. Their feud started all the way back in September when Saint Laurent fired Lawlor as his client and replaced him with Dijak.
The 37-year-old came in and viciously assaulted Lawlor, leaving him bloody, battered, and on the injured list. Now, Lawlor has his chance to get revenge on the nearly 7 foot monster, who has yet to lose a match in MLW since his return.
