On August 27, 2023, Kenzie Paige shocked the world.
That’s because the 22-year-old ended the title reign of “Brickhouse” Kamille. The former NWA star held the belt for an astounding 812 days, beating big names such as Chelsea Green, Taya Valkyrie, Taryn Terrell, and Melina, but Kenzie Paige managed to overcome the odds and beat Goliath in an unforgettable match.
Since then, the young star has managed to win every challenge that’s been put in her way. Max The Impaler, Roxy, Stevie Ash, Ruthie Jay, and Saraya Saber are just a short list of names that Paige has beaten in order to reach the 500-days match of being the NWA World Women's Champion.
In total, Kenzie Page has had 23 successful title defenses, with Audrey Allen being her last championship match in December. In celebrating her 500-day title reign, Kenzie Paige reflected on the wild ride she’s been in NWA and how she’s in the midst of the most competitive and hard-hitting roster in the company’s history:
“When people think of the National Wrestling Alliance, they think of Kenzie Paige!” said Paige in a press release. “We have the most competitive, hard-hitting roster of women in pro wrestling today. For 500 days and counting, I have defended my title against the absolute best — and none have come close to taking this championship!”
The Chief Operations Officer has backed up Paige’s statement by claiming that their women’s division is second-to-none, and Kenzie Paige defies excellence representing the NWA:
“The National Wrestling Alliance women’s division is second-to-none,” said Joe Galli, NWA’s Chief Operations Officer. “For 500 days, Kenzie Paige has sat atop it, defining excellence in our company,” Galli continues. “While there are many incredible challengers on our roster, Kenzie’s defeated them all.”
Where does Kenzie Paige go from here? At the moment, a new challenger for the NWA World Women’s title has yet to be confirmed. There’s no word on when Kenzie Paige will step into the ring to defend her belt. However, it’s a huge accomplishment for the 22-year-old to have such a long run at a young age. Can she beat Kamille’s historic 812 days as champion? Anything’s possible, especially since Paige recently signed a long term exclusive deal with NWA back in July.
