This week’s LU intro teaser focused on Fenix getting corrupted by the dark energy, Marty Martinez winning the Lucha Underground Championship, Ricky Mundo and his creepy doll, along Johnny Mundo and Taya Valkyrie’s wedding.
The show starts off with a raging Taya Valkyrie in the ring. She demands a match against the man who ruined her wedding, Matanza Cueto. Antonio grants Taya’s wish and Matanza comes out.
Taya Valkyrie vs. Matanza Cueto. Taya storms up the entrance getting the advantage on Cueto. Taya gives Cueto his biggest challenge this season, but the Monster eventually gets the upper hand and just as he’s about to finish off Taya, Johnny Mundo (or Impact, or Morrison, or the other dozen last names he has) saves his wife and fends off Cueto.
Later on, it's announced that at Ultima Lucha 4, Johnny Mundo will face Matanza Cueto in a Sacrifice of the gods match.
Next up,
El Dragon Azteca Jr. and Willie Mack vs. Fenix and Mil Muertes. This was a fun match filled with flips, brawling, dives, and just great action in general. In the end, Mil hit Mack with a Flatliner while Fenix hit Azteca with the Kinniku Buster Driver for the win.
Coming back from commercial break, Famous B and Brenda were already in the ring. Famous B essentially said a lot of nothing before Ricky Mundo came out to shut him up.
Famous B vs. Ricky Mundo was made official and this match didn’t last long with Mundo dominating and then winning with a modified STU. His creepy doll was at ringside being creepy and stuff.
Ricky then revealed that he was the man that let Matanza Cueto loose and then challenged Taya to a match at Ultima Lucha 4. He then put Brenda in a crossface over Famous B.
Last but not least,
Reklusa (Chelsea Green) made her debut against Pentagon Dark. A really good main event that put over Reklusa strong. After the strong back and forth effort, Pentagon got the victory with the Fear Factor.
Pentagon looked to break Reklusa’s arm, but Lucha Underground champion Marty Martinez interfered with a barbed wire baseball bat. He beat down Pentagon with the bat as Reklusa got a gasoline can. She poured “gasoline” on Pentagon’s body and Marty had a lighter. The LU champion teased setting Pentagon on fire, but the show went off the air before he could do so.
