NEW JAPAN PRO-WRESTLING Announces The Full Match Card For Their G1 Special In San Francisco

NJPW released the official match card for their upcoming G1 Special; Four new championship bouts have been added to the card, including Jeff Cobb challenging for NJPW gold for the first time in his career.

New Japan Pro Wrestling has released the official match card for their upcoming G1 Special in San Francisco, which takes place at the Cow Palace on July 7th.

In addition to Kenny Omega defending his IWGP Heavyweight title against Cody Rhodes, four more championship bouts have been added to the show.

Jeff Cobb challenges Hirooki Goto for the NEVER Openweight Championship, plus Evil and Sanada will get their rematch for the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships against The Young Bucks. Plus, Hiromu Takahashi defends the Jr. Heavyweight title against Dragon Lee, and Juice Robinson will challenge Jay White for the IWGP United States championship.

NJPW G1 Special in San Francisco will be broadcast live on AXS TV Saturday, July 7th starting at 8PM ET. While it hasn’t been officially confirmed, it is assumed that commentary will be provided by WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross and Josh Barnett.
