KUSHIDA has let New Japan Pro Wrestling officials know that he is leaving the company at the end of January. This comes hot on the tails of the news that Kenny Omega may be WWE bound and it was last month that Dave Meltzer reported on WWE's interest in signing the former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion. The question is, what sort of role could he end up playing in the company?

Well, with WWE planning to expand the NXT brand in other countries, the idea is for him to start out there but we don't currently have any word on when he'll report to the Performance Center.

KUSHIDA has performed for a number of companies and is a former Ring Of Honor Television Champion, a 6-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, and former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion among other titles won. He dropped the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship to Taiji Ishimori at
Wrestle Kingdom 13. As always, we'll be sure to keep you guys updated as we hear more.
