Raja Jackson has finally been charged.

TMZ broke the news last night that the MMA fighter was arrested on Thursday and booked for battery with serious bodily injury. That’s a felony charge. As of now, Raja is no longer in jail as he was released after he paid his $50,000 bail.

To recall, Jackson assaulted a Syko Stu on a live stream. This happened at KnokX Pro Wrestling where Jackson was set to do a run-in and work a spot against Stu. This came after Stu smashed a beer can over Raja’s head earlier in the evening. Now the beer can was gimmicked and Raja himself even stated that he wasn’t hurt from it, but he was clearly pissed about the incident.

Stu made a mistake thinking that Raja was another wrestler, so he apologized to Raja multiple times and they agreed to come up with a spot where he could get his lick back. But Raja had different plans in mind.

The MMA fighter knocked out Stu cold with a slam, but Jackson didn't stop there. He recklessly punched Stu over 15 times, despite Stu being unconscious. This all happened in late August. So why is Raja now being arrested?

That remains unclear, though it’s quite possible that the LAPD were simply try to get a good handle on the case before charging Raja. An arrest warrant was finally sanctioned Thursday night and there’s video of Raja being escorted out of his apartment building in Huntington Beach, California. At the moment, there isn’t much story beyond that. A court date hasn’t been set.

Thankfully, Skyo Stu was released from the hospital in early September and he’s recovering from injuries. Stu detailed that sustained a serious head injury, trauma to both the upper and lower jaws, a laceration to his upper lip, and a fracture to the maxilla bone, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of several teeth.

It’s unknown how long Syko Stu will be out of action. But it’s great that Raja Jackson is finally being charged for his crimes. It’s genuinely surprising that he isn’t being charged with attempted murder, but I’m not a lawyer so I don’t exactly know what constitutes such a charge.

Rampage did speak about his son’s charges and release on a recent stream. When asked about how he was doing, he stated that he was “holding up well.”

When he was asked about Raja, Rampage didn’t hold back his frustration about him.

“He’s doing okay. He’s doing okay. He’s alright. He at home now. Hey, he f—— up. He f—— up. He f—— up. He’s got to learn his lesson. Hey, it is what it is. All I can do is be a dad, you know what I’m saying? He don’t listen to me… At the end of the day, he can’t say I didn’t do what I was supposed to do as a dad.”

We’ll keep you updated when more information comes to light.
