Ricochet returns to House of Glory!
The current AEW star has been confirmed to make his return to the place he called home before WWE and AEW. House of Glory has confirmed that the 36-year-old will return at their High Intensity show on August 1st, though an opponent has yet to be made official.
Ricochet was a huge staple in the indie promotion as he actually held the HOG Heavyweight title in 2014! Ricochet held the belt for 125 days, with his epic battles against AJ Styles and Low Ki being some of the highlights during his brief run. His last match was in 2017 against former X-Division Champion Amazing Red. Those two had an incredible match for the HOG Heavyweight Championship so you should definitely check it out.
But Ricochet isn’t the only former WWE star making their return.
Priscilla Kelly (aka Gigi Dolin) will make her return and challenge Indi Hartwell for the HOG Women’s Championship. Though Kelly was well versed within the independent scene before her time in WWE, the 28-year-old has never worked a House of Glory show until now.
The former NXT Tag Team Champion has been making her rounds on the independent scene since her 60-day non-compete ended in June. Kelly released a vignette on June 1st saying goodbye to her old persona and touched on her release noting that it felt like she was experiencing death. She promised to show everyone what she’s capable of during her second run on the independent scene.
Hartwell originally made her HOG debut against Mercedes Mone back in March. She ended up losing that match; however, Hartwell was one of the challengers for the HOG Women’s title and successfully beat Miyu Yamashita at Waging War to become the eighth champion. This is Indi Hartwell’s first title defense.
The full card hasn’t been laid out yet, though adding Ricochet and Priscilla Kelly means that this could turn out to be something really good.
