Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling have officially sold out their G1 Supercard at their Madison Square Garden show on Saturday, April 6th.
As previously reported, tickets went on pre-sale for all Honor Club subscribers this Wednesday, selling 9,000 tickets on the very first day and another 3,000 on Thursday. According to PWInsider.com, when tickets were released to the general public on Friday morning, the remaining seats completely sold out within minutes.
Thus far, the only names currently advertised for G1 Supercard are NJPW stars Kazuchika Okada, Tetsuya Naito and Hiroshi Tanahashi. Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks are not advertised due to their contracts expiring either at the end of this year, or in early 2019.
This is a huge achievement for ROH and NJPW. They have become the first wrestling promotion outside of the WWE to successfully book an event at Madison Square Garden. April 6th should be an exciting night filled with wrestling as the ROH/NJPW show will clash against NXT Takeover.
