It appears that Brian Cage isn’t all elite after all.

On Sunday, it was first reported by Steve Bryant of SoCalUncensored that the former Impact World Champion had signed with AEW; however, according to PWInsider, that doesn’t appear to be the case. Melissa Santos – Brian Cage’s wife - first disputed the rumors on Cage signing a contract with All Elite Wrestling:

It’s been confirmed that the 35-year-old has not signed with the new promotion. Cage's deal with Impact Wrestling has indeed come to an end; however, his future still remains unclear at the moment. ‘The Machine’ reportedly has several offers on the table, including from AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Cage’s final appearance was likely at Impact’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view. The former Impact World Champion was originally scheduled to face Rob Van Dam; however, officials shot an angle taking him out of the match. The segment was done due to Cage suffering from a torn bicep injury.
