Several more Pure Rules matches dominate ROH.
Last week, the ROH Pure Women’s Championship tournament continued with Billie Starkz getting a win over Olympia in the main event. That wasn’t it, as Trish Adora assaulted her first round opponent, Deonna Purrazzo, backstage.
While there’s no scheduled tournament match tonight, Serena Deeb and Yuka Sakazaki will be in action. The ROH women are set to face one another in a first round match-up, but before their tournament clash, Deeb and Sakazaki will showcase their skills heading into the tournament bout. Deeb is currently on a roll since joining ROH this year; the former WWE star is currently undefeated in the ROH banner and she hopes to continue those ways tonight against Katie Arquette.
Yuka may not be undefeated like Deeb, but her experience almost got her the ROH Women’s World title back at Supercard of Honor. Yuka has more wins than losses, though she’s yet to secure a belt during her time in ROH. Will these ladies be able to gain some momentum heading into their Pure Rules tournament match?
In a match that should be great based on athleticism alone, Johnny TV will take on AR Fox. Despite both men coming from Lucha Underground, this is the first time that these two have squared up. Fox’s run has been a mixed bag as he’s been on the losing side as of late. But so has Johnny TV. While the former WWE star’s win record is a bit better than Fox’s at the moment, Johnny has squandered every major opportunity that he's given. With both men being in desperate need of a victory, who will score the three count?
