Shotzi Blackheart really thought that Hunter believed in her.

The former WWE star is still reeling from her shocking release back in May. It really seemed that WWE found something to do with Shotzi down in NXT, but Triple H and Shawn Michaels just didn’t seem to have any plans for the indie darling.

Shotzi’s talked about her WWE release since her departure; however, on an episode of the Rulebreakers podcast, she goes into some more depth about how she felt about her sudden release. While Shotzi says she wasn’t completely surprised by it, she thought that Hunter really believed in her.

“Yes and no. I had just came back from an ACL tear. So, coming back from a huge injury and not being on TV for like almost a year, I was kind of not surprised. They’re just like we lasted a year without you, so we’ll just let you go now that your contract is up. In that aspect, I wasn’t realized surprised. I don’t know, I always thought that Hunter really believed in me, so it was a little disappointing. Yeah, I just felt like, dang, they gave up on me.”

The 33-year-old felt that she didn’t get a chance to show off the real her as Shotzi was really fired up and ready to crush any opportunity given to her.

“I was in such a bad space for a few years with everything that I was going through and I was coming back from injury so much stronger, not just physically but mentally too. I was just ready to kill it coming back and I didn’t even get the opportunity to. So, I felt like they left a lot of meat on the bone, I was coming back on fire and ready to give them me, like the real me. I didn’t get the chance to show it.”

But Shotzi wouldn’t mind returning to WWE. Though not right now. She’s having a blast on the indie scene and she wants to make so much noise that WWE would be forced to use her because of the buzz surrounding her name.

“Not right now just because I’m having so much fun on the indies. I need more time to just do me and have fun before I go in there. I want to make so much noise here doing me to where I would go back there and just be undeniable. They couldn’t throw me into catering, they have to use me. I want them to be forced to utilize me.”
