The former WWE star is now hosting her very own Game Changer Wrestling event. It was confirmed Shotzi Blackheart will host House of Horrors on October 24th.
Thus far, no matches have been confirmed. However, this is something completely up Shotzi’s alley. The 33-year-old would host the annual Halloween Havoc event down in NXT and always had great costumes. She was clearly into the whole Halloween thing so she’ll likely go all out for this upcoming event.
Shotzi’s has been thriving since her release in May. It was shocking to see WWE let her go as it seemed that their plans for her, Gigi Dolin, and Tatum Paxley as a faction, but I guess WWE just see much value in the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion.
But before WWE snatched up Shotzi in 2019, she was working everywhere on the indie scene; EVOLVE, Beyond, and RISE Wrestling are just some of the names that she gained her notoriety before joining the big North American company.
Shotzi hasn’t hesitated in getting down and dirty again on the independent scene since leaving. She just came off a violent and bloody war against Matt Cardona at GCW’s Homecoming show. That night, Killer Kross and Scarlett Bourdeaux made their returns to GCW and helped Shotzi beat the former WWE United States Champion.
Shotzi has been mainly working with GCW since her release. It’s cool that’s being given her own show to headline. The former WWE star has said that she would welcome a return to WWE.
“I would love to be back at WWE.” She said on The Ariel Helwani Show. I loved working there. I didn’t love not working there, you know what I’m saying? It was only when I wasn’t being used that I was unhappy. But anytime I was being used, good time. Loved the locker room, loved everyone I was working for.”
But she also wouldn’t mind going to AEW and TNA. She specifically mentioned AEW because of the freedom they have.
“I love their freedom. I have a lot of friends there who are doing really awesome things. I’ve heard many stories of how Tony treats talent. So yeah, I do love that he really cares for his talent. That is super important to me.”
“And like, hot girls get to make out with each other [laughs].”
