Bullet Club's Switchblade Jay White defeated Tetsuya Naito to become the new IWGP Intercontinental Champion last night at Destruction in Kobe.

The match went back and forth for almost 50 minutes, with both men emptying their arsenals in an attempt to keep each other down for the 3-count. Naito actually wound up hitting Destino first, but White did just enough to lessen the impact and was able to kick out. A second Destino attempt led to Swictblade countering into the Blade Runner, which kept his opponent down for the 1,2,3.

After the match, Jay grabbed the mic and proceeded to taunt Naito and his fans, but he was soon cut short by Hirooki Goto, who came to the ring to challenge White for the title. Goto holds a victory over the new IC Champion in the recent G1 Climax.

What do you guys make of this development? Will Jay White successfully become the first ever dual-champion in New Japan?
