Recently seventy year old Jerry "The King" Lawler decided to out everything on the line in a Career vs. Title match pitting him against Matt "The LVR Boy" Riviera.

The seasoned wrestler came out on top, surprising and pleasing his fans and proving that he still has what it takes to be the king. Dave Brown and Jerry Calhoun were also present at the event as special guests.

Now, Lawler has taken to Steve Austin's Podcast - aptly titled The Steve Austin Show to discuss the event. Take a look at the wrestler's comments below!

“I won the CWA Arkansas state (Heavyweight) Championship in Little Rock, Arkansas in front of a sold out crowd over some kid named Matt Riviera at 70 years old - I still love to do it. You know who sat ringside and did commentary? Dave Brown! and Jerry Calhoun jumped in the ring and counted 1-2-3 for me to win the match.”

It is easy to see the excitement in Lawler's comments. He goes on to talk about how he set up meet and greets for the special guests and that it felt like a surreal experience to the special guests.

“It was so gratifying - sold out place. They sold 350 VIP (Meet & Greet) tickets. It was great to sit there & watch Calhoun and Dave Brown. I went out and had them some 8x10s made up and they said, ‘What’s that for?’ I said, ‘We’re doing the meet & greet, you guys are special guests.’ Every time someone would buy a picture of him (Calhoun), and he’d sign it, he’d look at me and go, ‘What the heck? I can’t believe this!’.”

What do you all make of Lawler's comments? Did you see the fight between him and Matt Riviera? Sound off below with your thoughts and check out The King's comments for yourself in the below clip from The Steve Austin Show!
