Two more matches have been confirmed for Death Before Dishonor.

The first is a first time ever bout between the ROH Women’s World Champion Athena and the Interim Women’s World Television Champion Mina Shirakawa. This stems from Shirakawa being injured at the hands of “The Fallen Goddess” at All In. Mina wants revenge and she’s being granted the opportunity to get it at the upcoming ROH pay-per-view.

This will be Athena’s 31st title defense during her historical run. For over 950 days, Athena has dominated the ROH women’s division following her victory over Mercedes Martinez at Final Battle 2022. Athena has since beaten Willow Nightingale, Hikaru Shida, Billie Starkz, Thunder Rosa, and most recently, Alex Windsor.

Mina Shirakawa is no slouch on her end as she became the interim Women’s World Television Champion less than three months before her full time debut. Though Mina failed to beat Mercedes Mone and Toni Storm for their respective belts, she still has a pretty good AEW record in 2025. Will she be the woman that finally dethrones the longest ROH champion in the company’s history?

But that isn’t the only new title match confirmed.

This past Thursday, Lee Moriarty fought Xelhau in a proving ground match and Xelhau managed to survive until the time ran out. But it wasn’t just the fact that he survived, but Xelhau actually had Moriarty in a submission as time ran out. It was then confirmed that Moriarty would officially defend his belt against him at Death Before Dishonor.

Moriarty has been the ROH Pure Champion for over 385 days. He originally won the belt at Death Before Dishonor 2024 by beating Wheeler Yuta. He’s successfully defended eight more times, with his most notable wins coming over Nigel McGuinness,  AR Fox, and Matt Taven. His last title defense was against Blue Panther at Supercard of Honor.

His opponent is a relative newcomer who has yet to win any championships. Xelhau is a CMLL mainstay who began his career in 2023. Though he’s yet to win any gold, the 21-year-old has been creating an unforgettable buzz thanks to his incredible run in the Lucha Libre promotion.

The upcoming event will take place on August 29, 2025 at the 2300 Arena, which is known as the ECW Arena by longtime fans, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Check out advertised matches so far.
