Who will win the AAA Royal Rumble?
WWE themselves announced a match for the upcoming TripleMania XXXIII pay-per-view - a Cop Bardahl? What is it? It’s pretty much the Royal Rumble, but the key difference is that eliminations only happens by pinfall. The winner will be honored with a petroleum brand that sponsors the speciality match. Thus far, the participants for the upcoming match haven’t been announced.
TripleMania XXXIII this weekend is a packed card featuring plenty of WWE stars. The biggest bout is a four way contest with El Hijo del Vikingo, Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano for the AAA Mega Champion. This is a very interesting bout as there’s been rumors that WWE is seriously considering giving Mysterio the title due to how popular he is in the Lucha Libre promotion. If Dominik Mysterio does win then he’ll be the first man to hold both the Intercontinental and AAA Mega Championship at the same time.
But Dominik, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano aren’t the only WWE talent competing for titles.
Natalya will try to become the first active WWE wrestler to win the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship. She’ll be in a three way match that also features Flammer and Faby Apache. Flammer has been the AAA Reina de Reinas Champion for over 700 days.
The AAA star defeated AEW’s Taya Valkyrie at TripleMania XXXI and has successfully retained her title against Jessica Troy, Dalys, and Keyra. This will be Nattie’s first time challenging for the Reina de Reinas title, though it wouldn’t be her first time going for a championship outside of WWE while under contract.
Natalya tried her hand at Kenzie Paige for the NWA Women’s World title at the Crockett Cup, but she came up short. However, the WWE veteran rebounded a bit with a strong win over former TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich at Bloodsport XIV.
