In not so surprising news, Dave Meltzer has recently reported that former IWGP Heavyweight champion, Kenny Omega, has been offered a lucrative contract from WWE.

There's no word on what the exact amount or deal is, but it's possible that the contract is for seven figures, given the fact that Cody and The Young Bucks were reportedly offered that amount from the company.

At the moment, there’s no word on what the future holds for Omega.

Omega dropped the IWGP Heavyweight championship to Hiroshi Tanahashi in an excellent main event at Wrestle Kingdom 13, but ‘The Cleaner’ didn’t show up to New Year’s Dash the next night, possibly indicating that he’s done with New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

He’s been very quiet in terms of what his next move will be, but according to WrestleVotes, WWE is doing everything in their power to make sure one of the biggest stars on the independent scene finally makes his way to the company:

Omega is under contract with New Japan until the end of January (and thus will not be at Tuesday’s Double Or Nothing rally) so he only has a few weeks left to make his decision.
