It's been confirmed today that the first defence of the AEW World Championship will take place in Philadelphia on the third episode of All Elite Wrestling's weekly TV show on TNT. That will air on Wednesday, October 16th and we'll know who the first champion will be following All Out on August 31st.

At the PPV, Chris Jericho will battle "Hangman" Adam Page for the right to be called champion and so we'll soon know which of them will be defending the title.

Tickets for this episode of AEW's still untitled show will go on sale this Friday. We still don't know who the challenger will be, of course, but we can probably expect that to be revealed during the first two episodes of perhaps after All Out
