UFC 235 is now down one fight, as Marlon Vera vs. Frankie Saenz has been cancelled due to “illness” from Vera. The bantamweight fighter addressed his fight being scrapped on social media, which essentially came down to cutting too much weight.

The bantamweight bout was originally scheduled to be Thomas Almeida vs. Marlon Vera, but Almeida was forced to withdraw due to injury, with Saenz coming in as the replacement. UFC 235 will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 2nd with the show being headlined by the light heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Anthony Smith. Tyron Woodley will also defend the welterweight belt against Kamaru Usman.
