And just like that, Ricardo Ramos has a new opponent at UFC Minneapolis.

It was reported earlier that the bantamweight bout between Ramos and Sergio Pettis was scrapped due to the latter being forced off the card; however, the reasoning has yet to be revealed. Ramos will now take on Journey Newson at The Fight Night event that takes place at Target Center in Minneapolis.

Ramos is coming off a devastating loss against Said Nurmagomedov at UFC Brazil in February. Before the TKO loss, the bantamweight walked into the bout with a four-fight win streak. The Brazilian native’s current professional record stands at 12 wins and 2 losses.

His opponent, Journey Newson, will be making his debut inside the promotion with six straight wins in the regional circuit. Newson’s professional record is 9 wins and 1 loss.
