As you're no doubt well aware, Brock Lesnar was expected to make his UFC return early next year. While Daniel Cormier continues to call him out, Dana White has made it clear that nothing is set in stone and the fact that Lesnar is now back in WWE and the reigning Universal Champion, a new report from Dave Meltzer confirms that his heavyweight championship bout with Cormier is now in real doubt.

"Lesnar agreed secretly to the new deal, and won the pro wrestling championship again," he explains. "The new deal is for multiple shows. But its length of time has been kept secretive. But it is known that Lesnar is scheduled as late as April of next year for WrestleMania."

Lesnar could try and squeeze the fight into the very start of 2019 but he may not feel the need to now, especially as a loss inside the octagon is something WWE wouldn't be remotely happy with.

Regardless, Cormier is ready to retire from the world of MMA and if Lesnar doesn't end up fighting him, Jon Jones seems like the most likely opponent for him. It's worth noting that his WWE deal isn't exclusive and so there's nothing stopping him returning to UFC but you can understand why he might decide against it. What do you guys think? As always, stay tuned for updates as we have them.
