UFC heavyweight Greg Hardy will return to the Octagon a week earlier and will no longer be fighting in Singapore against Jarjis Danho. According to ESPN sources, Danho was forced to withdraw from his fight against Hardy on October 26, and the UFC opted to move Hardy to another card, UFC on ESPN 6.

Hardy (5-1) has agreed to face promotional newcomer Ben Sosoli (7-2) at UFC Fight Night on October 18 in Boston. The ex-NFL defensive lineman is coming off a 45-second knockout of Juan Adams in July. His match against Sosoli will mark his fourth fight in 2019. His only loss came via disqualification (illegal knee) in his promotional debut against Allen Crowder in January. He has since gone on to beat Dmitry Smolyakov and Juan Adams, both via first-round TKOs.

Sosoli (6-2), a 29-year-old veteran, appeared on Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series in August. His fight ended in a no-contest due to an accidental eye poke.

UFC on ESPN 6 will be co-headlined by a light heavyweight match between Dominick Reyes and Chris Weidman and a featherweight fight between Zabit Magomedsharipov and Calvin Kattar.
