Holly Holm has finally spoken since her loss at UFC 239 and the comments UFC President Dana White made.

Going to the post-fight media, the UFC President addressed Holm’s recent loss and suggested that the former bantamweight champion should consider retirement (transcript courtesy of mmafighting.com):

“Listen, I don’t want to start going retirement crazy in here but she’s had an amazing career,” White said about Holm at the UFC 239 post fight press conference. “She is one of the sweetest human beings you can ever meet and if you follow her on Instagram, she trains like a beast. She’s almost 40 years old and she’s in ridiculous shape. The things that this woman can do physically with the rings and gymnastics and all that stuff is phenomenal. She’s an incredible athlete, an incredible human being. I don’t know. I think she needs to take a look at what’s next for her.”

Holm has finally spoken about her future inside the octagon on Instagram stories, though more so in a playful manner about getting knocked out by Amanda Nunes. However, the 37-year-old makes it clear that she isn’t retiring from MMA anytime soon and will continue to push forward despite her recent setbacks (transcript courtesy of mmajunkie.com):

“I just want you guys to know I’m feeling good, and I know one thing: I’m still pushing forward,” Holm said. “A lot of a heartbreak right now, but I’m doing fine, and I just want you to know that I appreciate the love and support.”
