What happened after Saturday's UFC bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov's and Conor McGregor has been well documented, but what's less clear is what exactly set the Russian fighter off and prompted him to scale the cage in an effort to attack one of The Notorious One's teammates.

Now, TMZ has shed some more light on the events leading up to the brawl.

According to them, Dillion Danis was hurling insults at Khabib all throughout the fight, and the last straw came after the submission win when Danis was heard to call him a "[frick]ing Muslim rat." If true, it's hardly surprising that Khabib reacted the way he did, but his actions may have cost him... a lot.

Nurmagomedov has yet to be paid for the fight and Dana White says the Nevada State Athletic Commission may end up keeping his entire purse: a hefty $2 million.
