A new flyweight bout is set for UFC 253 as Jordan Espinosa will step into the octagon against David Dvorak at the pay-per-view.

Espinosa managed to rebound from his two consecutive losses to Matt Schnell (via submission at UFC on ESPN 5) and Alex Perez (via technical submission at UFC Fight Night 166) by dropping Mark De La Rosa at UFC on ESPN 10. The flyweight’s record since his UFC debut is 2-2, with Espinosa also beating Eric Shelton at UFC Fight Night 148. His professional record currently stands at 15 wins, 7 losses, and 1 no contest.

Dvorak successfully made his debut at UFC Fight Night 170 against Bruno Silva. The flyweight is currently on a massive 14-fight winning streak, with the 28-year-old making a name for himself in X Fight Nights, Gladiator Championship Fighting, and Oktagon MMA (Slovakia). Dvorak’s professional record currently stands at 18 wins and 3 losses.

UFC 253 takes place on Saturday, September 19 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with a UFC Middleweight Championship bout between Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa confirmed as the main event. Check out the updated card below:
