Rising star Johnny Walker earned his third straight consecutive win in the UFC last weekend in Las Vegas at UFC 235. Once again, Walker won in dominating fashion, knocking out Misha Cirkunov in just 36 seconds. While it looked like Walker would be able to return to the Octagon with little time needed to recover, cockiness got the best of him as he injured his shoulder during an attempted celebration.

Thankfully, the injury was not too serious. According to Walker's manager, he suffered a "mild shoulder injury" which will require about four weeks of rehab. He's hoping to return in May or June and has his sights set on fighting  Alexander Gustafsson.

Gustafsson has not responded to the challenge, but the fight would presumably take place in his home country of Sweden for UFC Stockholm on June 1.

Walker faced Cirkunov on about two weeks' short notice, replacing Ovince Saint Preux, who pulled out due to injury. Walker defeated Cirkunov with a monster knee early in the first round, improving his record to 3-0 in the UFC.

Gustafsson, meanwhile, is coming off a third-round TKO loss to now-light heavyweight champion Jon Jones last December at UFC 232.
