Jason Knight announced that he has been released from the UFC, confirming a report from BJPenn.com.

The featherweight made his debut at TUF Finale in December of 2015, but was unsuccessful against Tatsuya Kawajiri; however, the 26-year-old was able to bounce back with four wins in a row against Jim Alers, Dan Hooker, Alex Caceres, and Chas Skelly. His last bout earned him a Performance of the night bonus.

Unfortunately, Knight’s four fight win streak came to an end against Ricardo Lamas via TKO and the Mississippi native wasn't able to rebound from the devasting loss.

In the tweet addressing his free-agent status, Knight wrote that he’s “free to fight wherever” and mentioned Bellator, ONE Championship, Titan Fighting Championships, Legacy Fighting Alliance, and Rizin Fighting Federation as possible destinations.
